training guides for Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), Chemical, Nuclear,
Surface and Underwater Ordnance classes.
Navy EOD Dive Instructor: Supervised and evaluated teams in emergency
response techniques for underwater mine location, recognition and disposal
or recovery. Conducted underwater demolition procedures using scuba and
mixed gas non-magnetic diving apparatuses.
Navy Dive Instructor:
Trained foreign and U.S. service members in Navy Deep Sea Diving techniques
and procedures as well as operating procedures for the recompression
chamber.
Demolition Range Safety
Officer: Coordinated instruction, supervision, and safety of over 600
demolition range operations for basic and advanced live demolition training,
ranging from experimental shaped charges and range clearances to explosive
room entries and weapons exploitation. Instructed 350 Conventional, IED and
Nuclear Weapons classes, teaching detection, identification and render safe
procedures as well as evacuation distances for blast and fragmentation and
calculation of exclusion areas in addition to hot line procedures for
chemical munitions to over 5000 personnel using power point and overhead
projection instructional methods. Conducted refresher training to Navy EOD
personnel in x-ray interpretation to identify possible explosives and
circuitry components and establish guidelines for render safe procedures.
Weapons of Mass
Destruction: Trained in nuclear EOD operations to include incident
management, nuclear weapons, hazards, safeguards, weapons deployment,
nuclear weapons design information, electrical safety, component subsystems,
and identification features.
Provided technical support to the
United States Secret Service: clearing
rooms, performing car searches, and tracing emergency entrance and egress
routes for Presidential motorcades, identifying and disposing of all
suspected explosive devices.
