Mark Welton --

Commander, South African Undersea Commandos

Why am I a Marauder?

Now there is a daft question. Important work needs to be done! If you must know my grandfather flew for the RAF in the Battle of Britain. He went down in the Atlantic.

Mark Welton

After many days at sea, he was finally rescued. I am here today because someone helped him. Being a Marauder is my way of giving back, of saying thanks by helping to bring closure to families who weren’t as fortunate as mine. So there you have it. Enough of this talk. Lend a hand now. That’s the spirit.
